Wondering how to keep your aligners clean?

Great question! There are a few ways to keep you Invisalign aligners clean.

Ultrasonic cleaners are an excellent option and can be used with and without cleaning crystals. The Zima Dental Pod is now available at Steveston Smiles for $90 in white, pink, blue and black.

Invisalign provides cleaning crystals in their starter kit. The cleaning crystals work great.

Polydent retainer cleaner works great as an alternative. It is cost effective and works well. During active treatment the best time to clean your aligners is right after taking them out in the morning. Place one tablet of polydent in about a ½ cup of warm water and let your aligners soak for 15-20 mins while you eat breakfast. Once you remove them from the solution brush them with your toothbrush and put them right back in your mouth.

While wearing retainer phase you can keep the same routine or clean then a little less often as you are wearing them nighttime only.
