Appointment Policy
We understand that it may become necessary to reschedule an appointment. To accommodate the needs of our patients we require two business days’ notice to change your appointment.
We find that most of our patients have very busy schedules and need to preplan their dental appointments. Some patients have to wait three to four weeks for their appointment; others are in discomfort and need to come in as quickly as possible.
There will be absolutely no charge for your need to change your appointment if you provide us with at least two business days’ notice. However, should something happen to prevent you from contacting us there will be a charge according to the amount of time that was reserved for you.
If last minute cancellations or no-shows occur twice in a row or become a pattern, a cancellation fee of $100/hour for the hygienist and $150/hour for the dentist will be charged as a rebooking fee for your next scheduled appointment. If you attend this next appointment this fee will be applied to the cost of your treatment that day. If you cancel with less than 2 business days’ notice or do not attend your appointment this fee will be applied as a cancellation fee.
Saturdays are an exception to this policy. Due to the high demand, and as such there is a zero-tolerance policy on no-showing or short notice cancelling a Saturday appointment. Appointments cancelled with less than 2 business days’ notice are subject to an automatic cancellation fee of $100.00/hour for hygiene appointments and $150.00/hour for Doctors chair time appointments. This will be charged as a deposit to schedule another Saturday appointment or an appointment on any other day. When the patient attends the next appointment, the fee may be applied toward any outstanding balance. But will not be refunded until the account is cleared. If the patient does not show up for the re-booked appointment the fee will be applied for the cancellation charge and the rebooking fee will be applied to that charge.
Each situation is different and we realize that family, office emergencies, and illness can arise. We will be pleased to discuss the details of short notice appointment changes on an individual basis.
We look forward to taking care of your oral health needs and welcome you and your family to our team of dental professionals.
