Here are some important facts to know:
🔹Snacking throughout the day is not good for your teeth. We recommend you try to eat at once without extending your snacks or meals for hours.
🔹The same goes for drinking anything other than water. We recommend you don’t sip on sugary drinks or coffee and tea during the day. This causes lots of damage to your teeth.
🔹Foods that are highly acidic can cause cavities and other oral health issues.
🔹Dried fruit can contain high amounts of sugar, they also tend to be sticky and stick to your teeth, making you more prone to cavities.

✅First, you need to know which aligner is for the top and which is the bottom. The easiest way to tell is your top teeth are bigger. It is also marked on your aligners.

🦷Next, Line-up your aligners with your two teeth in the center and use gentle finger pressure to start to push into place

✅It is very important not to bite your aligners into place. This can bend, break or damage them resulting in the aligners not fitting and having to be replaced.

🦷As you seat your aligners you will hear a click or snap as they go over your attachments. This means that they are seated.

✅The final step to seating your aligners is to use your munchies. By biting on your munchie you fully engage your aligner over your teeth and attachments so they can work the most effectively.

Leslie has worked in the dental industry for more than 20 years. Leslie was a dentist in the Philippines before moving to Canada in 2012. After taking the exam in Canada, Leslie worked for 8 years as a certified dental assistant. She is now trained and working as a dental receptionist at Steveston Smiles. Leslie can speak 5 languages/dialects: English, Tagalog, Minnan, Cebuano and can converse in basic Mandarin. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading and crafting in her time outside of work.
